When the Community Gives Back! #helpfashiontalent

When I set out Fashion Super-Intern back in 2018 I had just one clear mission: to help and pass on knowledge to as many Fashion Students as I possibly can.

The background story behind how #FashionSuperIntern was born is simple: I was still working as a Fashion Recruiter, my start up business was in its first ever quarter (very early days) and I was working and mentoring Fashion Students, who interned and volunteered at The Agency De La Mode.

What began as a simple mentoring quickly transpired in me trying to help students move forward in their careers in the Fashion Industry after graduating university, and most specifically how to NOT give up, even if they don’t gain success straight away!

You’ve all heard it: “ the Fashion Industry is very competitive” - it’s not just competitive, it’s cutthroat. I’ve worked across international markets with amazing executive professionals, who even after 10,15, 20+ years in the industry still struggled to find a next work challenge. So I began wondering “how would you expect a 20 year-old with little to no work experience to get ahead if even the most equipped and fit for the industry couldn’t.”

And that’s how it started.

Fashion Super-Intern First Event in Southampton

With our first Free for all event in Southampton in December 2018, including the amazing celebrity stylist Casey Paul and almost 120 inspired students. Couple of more free events in Southampton and London later and great and fast growing online network, we now want to take the opportunity to help all of you Fashionistas even more!

It’s no doubt that this current pandemic outbreak will have a huge impact on the fashion industry and most specifically on its job and career market. Therefore we are motivated to put a collective together to inspire success.

#Helpfashiontalent has a clear mission: to collect success stories from some of the best executive professionals in the Industry along employability tips and advice, and share them with our growing network.

We want to help the future talent of Fashion get ahead stronger after these uncertain times!
